Privacy Policy - for Route Planner App

Privacy Policy – Route Planner App
Effective Date: January 15, 2026 (updated to current/recent date)

1. Introduction
Route Planner App (“the App”) is designed to help drivers, delivery personnel, and realtors efficiently plan routes and property showings. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled and how user privacy is protected. The App is provided "as is" and operates primarily with local data storage (no server-side user accounts or cloud syncing).

2. Information We Collect
The App itself does not directly collect, store, or transmit personal information from users (such as name, email, phone number, or precise location history). All client and property data entered by users is stored locally on the device using secure local storage and is never sent to us or any third party.
However, when the App displays advertisements (via Google AdMob in the production version), Google may collect certain limited, non-personal or pseudonymized data through the Google Mobile Ads SDK. This can include:
  • Device identifiers (such as the resettable Advertising ID on Android).
  • Approximate location (derived from IP address or other signals, not precise GPS unless enabled elsewhere).
  • Device type, operating system, app version, and basic usage information (e.g., app interactions for ad performance measurement).
  • Other diagnostic or analytics data to improve ad relevance, frequency capping, and app stability.
This data supports ad serving (including potentially personalized or interest-based ads based on your activity across Google services), measurement, and analytics. The App does not use this data for any other purpose.
3. Third-Party Services
The App integrates the following third-party service:
  • Google AdMob: Used to display banner and rewarded advertisements. In the production version of the App, real advertisements are served. AdMob may use device identifiers (like Advertising ID) and other signals to deliver relevant ads, measure ad performance, and prevent invalid activity. For more details on how Google handles data for ads, including personalization and user controls, please review:
    https://policies.google.com/privacy
(See sections on ads, device identifiers, and personalization.)
The App may also launch external URLs (e.g., Google Maps for routes), which are governed by those services' privacy policies.4. Use of Information
Any data collected by third-party services (primarily Google via AdMob) may be used to:
  • Serve and personalize advertisements.
  • Measure ad performance, app usage, and stability.
  • Improve the overall user experience and ad ecosystem.
  • Comply with legal obligations and prevent fraud.
We do not have access to or control over this data beyond enabling AdMob integration.
5. Data Sharing
The App does not sell, share, or transfer any user-entered data (e.g., client names, addresses, schedules) to third parties.
Any limited data collected through AdMob is handled solely according to Google's privacy policy and shared only as described therein (e.g., with Google's partners for ad measurement, not for sale).

6. External Links
The App contains links to external services like Google Maps. We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or security of those external sites/services.

7. Children’s Privacy

The App is not intended for children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age in your region). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time to reflect changes in the App or legal requirements. Any material changes will be posted here with an updated effective date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
